Austin may be the considered the breakfast taco capital of the world, but San Francisco will soon have a breakfast taco shop of its very own.
As reported this morning by Hoodline, it looks like L.A. transplant chef Raymond Gaston of SixFoot20 is bringing his breakfast tacos to a permanent location in Duboce Triangle. Gaston, who has been operating his neighborhood pop-up out of The Doctor’s Lounge and via a taco trike in the Excelsior/Outer Mission since last summer, is reportedly set to take over the Rising Star Laundromat space (439 Duboce Ave., near Fillmore, San Francisco).
According to Hoodline, SixFoot20 will be hosting a community meeting in the next few weeks to get the permit side rolling. So, stay tuned, San Francisco; summer is the goal.
Just signed a lease for a permanent space in the Duboce triangle area. Stay tuned for the details. Opening in late summer.

Gaston also teases on Twitter that he will serve “both traditional and exploratory” breakfast tacos. After taking a peek at the roster of breakfast tacos Gaston has offered at past pop-ups — including spicy pork belly, crispy mushroom and cheeseburger(!!) — late summer can’t come soon enough.
